Cora arrived in the UK from Spain for foster care on 18 July 2026 and she is doing very well. She is in Southampton. She is negative to Mediterrannean diseases. Cora is 8 years old (DOB 27/1/2018). She is living with dogs and was cat tested in Spain. Cora can live with other dogs or as an only dog if she has lots of human attention. She is not dog dependant. This is from her foster mum: Cora is the most gentle, calm and beautiful soul, she has an absolute heart of gold. She is 8 years old, toilet trained, and settles well if her needs have been met. She is spayed and has no known health conditions. She has been in foster care with me and prior to that she was in kennels and was given up as she wasn't any good at hunting. Good for us as she has been amazing with my two small dogs, gentle, patient and also able to look away and not fixate. She has been sociable and friendly with everyone she meets human and dog. She can join them in a play or she can have a sniff and then come away. We have walked past fields of horses, goats and alpacas and she's not shown any interest. Normal household appliance noises she has also been OK, she can be jumpy at noises and movement but she recovers well and doesn't react. When you meet her be gentle, slow, let her approach you and she will love you in no time. Even her lead walking has been better than I thought, she is strong on the lead, but not a "pully" dog, I have been walking her on a harness and a double ended longish walking lead clipped onto the back of the harness and the lead is loose. She has been amazing with my dogs but she also likes her own space where she can rest and eat undisturbed from eager little paws. She will need recall training. She will make someone the most amazing, loving companion. Please message if you are interested with information about your family, ages of everyone in the home, existing pets & work hours. All enquiries will be looked at. We only rehome to England, Wales & Scotland. Please note: We are looking for a secure garden with fencing or walls to a minimum of 5ft. We also need the dogs to be kept on a lead, long lunge lead or for people to use enclosed fields for off lead exercise as these dogs are scent hounds & have hunting backgrounds. We do not rehome with children under 8 years old. Full rescue back up is provided.
