Description
Willow is a 14hh, 5yo, piebald cob mare. She is quite the stocky type, has plenty of mane & feather. Although I have hogged her recently. She was backed in may 25. We did a bit with her last year but turned her away for the winter. We may have gone for the odd hack on a weekend. She will walk and trot in the school but I haven't managed to get her to canter. She apparently used to be a driving horse so she just goes into a really fast trot. however out hacking with another horse she will go into canter with a quick nudge. She takes a lot of her confidence from her rider. I have also had her in a driving harness and dragging stuff but I haven't taken it any further. She has the prospect to drive. She has done lots of hacking. She's good with traffic. We have been on pleasure rides too, she is good to travel & load.
Downsides to willow are that she suffers with hayfever so can start headshaking or coughing however we manage this with anti histamines and she also wears a calming mask when out hacking as it seems to help. She also suffers with separation anxiety. So to make my life easier and not stress her out, I always get her out when I get my other out. 9/10 times we hack in company. She has hacked on her own but she was very stressy. She wasn't silly, she just wanted to get home. This is something I'm trying to work on.
She is a loving horse, well mannered, picks all 4 up, good for farrier. Passported & upto date with vaccs & wormer. Lives out 24/7. Lincolnshire based.
