These fish are being rehomed by SEFFA (South Essex Feather & Fur Aid). We are a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting our local community and animal welfare. Every penny from this adoption goes directly toward our mission of helping animals in need.
We have a beautiful, healthy male common pleco looking for a proper, large indoor setup to accommodate his size. He is currently 28 cm and around 3 years old. As you can see in image_2.png, he is a fantastic, well-matured bottom-dweller with stunning markings. We also have a sailfin with him in picture, they are a bonded pair.
We think she is ready to lay, She has been living with this common male pleco in the pics. But they grew enormous for the tank they are in. He keeps on cleaning and hiding in the open decor they have but female can’t obviously get there too for egg laying.
If you have the right size setup, where these 2 plecos can do their business. 800l tank at least, they are a bonded pair. We are happy to adjust the adoption fee for anyone taking both. Not advisable to add female to existing female or male to existing male as they will fight over territory. Hence we prefer the pair to go together.
Please note: This listing is strictly for the common pleco; the sailfin pleco will be listed separately.
⚠️ Tank Requirements
Plecos grow very large and need plenty of space.
He will only be rehomed to experienced keepers with an appropriately sized, established tropical tank. Video call require.
