sky is a deaf 16 year old terrier cross who is an extremely loving girl and loves nothing more than attention and treats. She is having to be rehomed at no fault of her own, unfortunately her owner passed away recently and no one close by can take her. She is completely healthy except for a collapsing trachea which doesn’t give her many problems in her day to day life. She’s a people watcher and loves to be stood at the window watching the world go by. Despite her age she has the energy of a pup at times and gets the zoomies, sometimes she has to be reminded to stop as she gets out of breath. She can sometimes be a little picky with her food, her favourite is cesars sachets and if she doesn’t want to eat, mixing in some chicken will help, or adding a drizzle of a liquid cat treat on top, sometimes she just needs that taste to realise she’s hungry. her medication is mixed into the liquid cat treats and we’ve never had a problem with her taking it. every so often she will bless you with a teeth out smile after a yawn, and even though she is deaf she likes to be told she has a pretty smile. Sky absolutely LOVES water, especially in a doggy pool in the summer, she likes to scrape on the sides to create her own waves, shockingly she absolutely hates the rain and sometimes needs convincing to go out when the weather is gloomy. sky has some issues when left alone, she’s not distrustful or has any accidents but she will bark until you are home so she would prefer someone who is home a lot and only goes out for short amounts of time. she would prefer to be the only pet in the house and is great with children, her last owner had many grandchildren who sky watched grow for the last 11 years.
