Description
We're sadly having to re-home our beautiful 7 month old Labrador x Greyhound, Murphy. He's still full of puppy energy and cheekiness but is incredibly gentle, and absolutely adores our 3 year old daughter.
Sadly, she's become very allergic to him and even with trying everything we can to lessen the effects of it for her, it's not improving, so we've made the very difficult decision to find him a new home.
We've had him since he was 9 weeks old (he's now 21kgs!) and we met his mum (greyhound) and dad (KC registered red Labrador) before we brought him home. He was an accidental litter and was raised by a loving family with kids, not a breeder, before we got him. It shows. He's a lovely lad and fast as anything! He gets a bit carsick still, but we've been working on it with short trips and it's improving slowly.
Murphy has pretty good recall, is a bit excited around other dogs but never ever aggressive and loves being off lead. He follows our daughter everywhere, and knows the basic commands of sit, stay, wait, come, down, back, paw, drop it, and ball? (To go find wherever he left it). He lives with my husband and I, our 3 year old, and our cat, who he's been really good with, just a bit excitable if she runs out in front of him. He hasn't been left alone for longer than 4 hours, but is absolutely fine when we go out or sleeping downstairs overnight.
He will need a loving home who are able to give him long walks twice a day, and off lead space to run. He has endless energy and needs a large amount of exercise. We are going to be incredibly careful where he goes to and we will want to do a home check to make sure we're happy with a potential new home for him. This isn't something we take lightly.
If you'd like to meet him, and can offer him a safe, loving home with plenty of exploring and adventures for the rest of his life, please get in touch.
