Absolutely no fault of his own at all.
This is Barley, he is 100% golden retriever, not KC.
We bought him as a pup in July 2025 and fell pregnant with our third baby the next month. I’ve tried my best to give him as much attention and love as we can, but realistically he deserves so much better than I’m giving him.
As you can see he is fantastic with children, as Goldens are known for.
He is still a puppy so gets excitable and loves to play and gets the zoomies.
New home must have a large garden and large indoor space to accommodate this, no negotiations there.
Do not contact me if you are not willing for me to visit your home to check this, as he needs space to enjoy his life fully.
Commands, he knows to sit, wait, lie down, bed, in/out, probably a few more I’m missing. He is toilet trained to go outside. He sleeps away from us so this isn’t a problem if you don’t like dogs upstairs like us.
When giving his food he waits for his name to be called and when told to go, he shows very good signs of obedience if training is kept up with daily as we have been doing.
He walks good on lead and has okay recall off the lead. He is young so still gets excitable to go on a walk but soon calms.
He has lived with a cat dog and three children.
He must go to a home with another dog or someone who is home all the time as he can get restless or sad (when I’ve taken our other dog away) nothing negative happens he just whines when left alone which is unfair and doesn’t happen here hardly ever.
