Description
Unfortunately we have had to come to the decision to find our beautiful Billy (Valentine Bunting) a new home. He was sold to us as a lead rein/first ridden pony but unfortunately needs a confident capable jockey as can be cheeky and have a buck. My children are just starting on their riding journey so dont have the balance or experience to ride him through it.
He is foot perfect on the ground for kids to lead / catch / groom. He potentially would be suitable for someone looking for a lead rein pony to just have a plod on - we've only experienced the bucking issues now that my daughter wants to be doing more. He hasn't bucked with my 3 year old boy who just walks on him.
Where i brought him from he was used for all experiences from lead rein to experienced and was foot perfect. He went to shows and did some show jumping and excelled in both with his good bloodlines. We do not have a school or hacking facilities and Billy is kept with 1 other horse so potentially our isolated life isnt enough for him and with more work his cheekiness may improve.
