Ready for a summer project ??

Eventing on a budget ?
Well stop searching and take a look at this chap !!
17hh ISH Gelding
8yr old
Well related both sides
A super chap who has been in the same home since imported from Ireland as a 3yr old - a light weight female who thought a great deal of him.
Kind on the ground - vice free and happy to stable as well as at mixed pasture
Broken in the UK Bambi showed promise in a variety of spheres having kicked around a few low level unaffiliated events and hunter trials. As well as clinics lessons and training shows. All of which we are told he took in his stride. Offering an easy approach to the fence, good technique and proved to be an honest forgiving mount.
Hacking away he was brave alone and in company and didn't fizz up in open spaces. Unfazed by traffic
Bambi is a huge mover and carry's himself with ease offering the most comfortable of canters and tow flicking trot. His time would be sure to come between the white boards of a dressage arena.
So you may ask well why is he a project ???
Bambi can be a worry wart. Having had the same rider aboard since breaking change has unsettled him and whilst when he left her as a sales livery he quickly adapted and settled into a new environment we feel change will again cause a few mole hills that's will need to be overcome.
So what does he do ?
Bambi can be tricky to mount - and once on can become tense and scoot/fret/look to have a run. I genuinely believe in a knowledgeable home this will be a matter of giving and taking confidence and once they relationship is build the bond will be unstoppable.
Whilst he has never bucked reared or bolted he would require a confident balanced capable rider to get the best from him. Absolutely no wobbling nervous nancies - he would melt and he doesn't deserve that.
For this reason Bambi is now out at grass and is being sold from the field. We have recent vidoes of him under saddle. But would prefer he be treated as a restart.
Another noted point is he is worried with a farrier. We are unsure if this issue stated across the water - but whatever happened he hasn't forgot. Again with kindness and patience this can be overcome. Sedation would be advised for shoeing to begin but having a strong foot he would also make a cracking barefoot candidate.
