Description

Delilah is finally finished with motherhood ❤️ Over the last year, this little lady became a regular visitor of an elderly gentleman living in a care facility. He would feed her and look out for her, then she would disappear for a while — only to come back again with another litter of kittens. Delilah is no more than around two years old, and incredibly, Pickles and Socks are the fourth or fifth litter the family had seen her with. Understandably, they were becoming really concerned about her welfare. She was still so young herself and had already been through pregnancy and motherhood over and over again. The gentleman wasn’t allowed to keep a cat at the care facility, so his family contacted us and asked if we could help. We collected Delilah and her latest two babies, brought them into our care and settled them into a Penny Paws foster home. They have now been fully assessed and treated for fleas and worms. Pickles and Socks are 10 weeks old and have found a home of their own, and Penny Paws will have Delilah spayed before she is adopted. There will certainly be no sixth litter. Now that Delilah has been in her foster home and we’ve had a chance to properly get to know her, she really is the loveliest little cat. Her foster family have completely fallen in love with her. She’s gentle, affectionate, calm and laid back. She loves attention and being around people, and if you talk to her she’ll even answer you back! She loves lounging in the sunshine, enjoys the occasional groom and absolutely loves her food. When she decides it’s dinner time, she’ll sit next to the food cupboard and occasionally let out a little meow to make sure you’ve noticed 😂 She’s brilliant with children and isn’t bothered at all by the noise and activity of a busy household. We also think she could potentially live with another cat, as long as introductions were taken slowly and she was given time to settle first. Delilah is no more than around two years old and has already raised four or five litters of kittens. She’s done more than enough mothering. Now we just need to find her a lovely home of her own. ❤️ 📍 In foster home in Hungerford 🐾 Around 18 months old 🐾 Spayed before adoption 🐾 Fully assessed, flea & worm treated 🐾 Great with children 🐾 Potentially suitable with another cat following careful introductions Could Delilah be the one for you?
