This is Harry, and writing this is honestly heartbreaking.
Harry has just turned 5 and is a lovely boy who deserves more than I’m able to give him right now. This is not a decision I ever wanted to make, but I have to put what’s best for Harry first.
He’s a really good dog with a chilled temperament most of the time, but he still enjoys his walks, sniffing about, and having a good run when he gets the chance. He can be energetic when it’s time for fun, but around the home he’s generally calm and easy to have around.
Harry absolutely loves food, so he’s very easy to win over and training with treats works really well. He’s clever, full of character, and has a lot of love to give once he trusts you. He’ll definitely keep you on your toes too — he can be unpredictable at times and do random, unexpected things. Some are funny, some can be a bit annoying, but that’s all part of Harry’s personality.
What Harry really needs is a home with space, routine, and someone who has the time to give him the life he deserves. I feel he would thrive with an owner who understands dogs and can give him proper exercise, structure, and attention.
This is not about Harry doing anything wrong — he deserves better circumstances than I can currently offer him, and that’s the truth of it.
I do not want any money for Harry. Finding the best possible home for him is all that matters to me. I can also provide everything he needs to help him settle, including food, leads, coats, crates, and his other belongings.
I’m in no rush to let him go to just anyone. The right home matters most to me. If you think you could offer Harry a happy, stable life and be patient while he settles, please get in touch and tell me a bit about yourself.
