At Thicketbank Gundogs, we specialise in breeding a small number of carefully planned Cocker Spaniel litters each year for both working and field trialling homes. Our focus is on producing healthy, trainable dogs with excellent temperament, natural ability, and strong working pedigrees.
All of our dogs are valued members of the family as well as capable working gundogs, and we are committed to maintaining the breed’s intelligence, drive, and biddability. By keeping our breeding programme small and selective, we can give each puppy the best possible start in life, with careful socialisation and individual attention from day one.
We follow the Puppy Culture programme, incorporating proven early development and socialisation practices to help build confident, resilient, and well-rounded puppies. From the earliest stages of life, our puppies are exposed to age-appropriate enrichment, handling, and experiences designed to support their development and prepare them for life in their new homes.
Whether you’re looking for a loyal working companion, a future trialling prospect, or a versatile gundog, we strive to match each puppy to the right home and provide ongoing support to owners throughout their dog’s life
