Description
This is my beautiful girl Sestra.
A pure-bred, working line, KC Registered German Shepherd, trained to a very high standard since she was 8 weeks old. She’s not your typical dog and has had significant time invested in her training.
I’m forced to find her a home with someone will give her the love and attention she deserves. Unfortunately, I am now spending a significant amount of time away from home for work.
I’m forced to find her a home with someone will give her the love and attention she deserves. Unfortunately, I am now traveling much more frequently for work and she’s too much dog for my wife to handle alone alongside the children.
Since I brought her home, she has lived with me and my family that includes 3 small children.
She loves attention, loyal, and wants to be around people. She loves nothing more than playing ball and tug of war. I use this drive to train her to this day.
She has been spayed after having a single exceptional litter (I always wanted her to have at least one before spaying).
In terms of her training, she is incredibly intelligent and is fast to learn. Some of the things she can do:
* Heel (Fuss) perfectly on walks with absolute zero pulling on the lead
* Lie down (Platz), stand still (Shtay, which is good for washing her outside) and run behind you and stand in between your legs (Mitte). The latter has been used in conjunction with the bark command a few times on runs when she’s felt threatened.
* ‘Settle’ - Which means lie down and chill
* Perfect recall. She goes on walks with me without lead, plays with me out in the park and ignores other dogs.
* Can go to her ‘place’ bed on command and ‘settle’ down. Great for when people visit the house.
* Go to the toilet on command, in a very specific spot to avoid soiling the lawn. Will also run there of her own accord when outside to go there. Perfect for nights when its raining outside and you just want to let the dog out to do her business.
* Can also bark and guard on command
* Also other fun things, line bringing my kids back on the zip line.
I would love to stay in touch with whoever adopts her to know how she’s doing.
