Summer – Genuine First Ridden Pony
12.1/12.2hh, 8-year-old British Riding Pony mare.
Summer has been an absolute delight to own and is a firm favourite on the yard. She is a genuine first ridden pony who is kind, polite, and extremely forgiving with small jockeys. She is happy to trot and pop around all day, while also having the ability to step up a gear for a more experienced rider. She is never sharp, silly, or strong.
She hacks brilliantly in traffic and has only been ridden out in company with us, although we can’t see any reason why she wouldn’t happily go out alone.
Summer attended two stay-away shows last year and behaved impeccably throughout. She is a very pretty pony who has given my daughter so much confidence and is now sadly outgrown. She is looking for her next little rider to enjoy and learn from her.
She is easy to handle and is good to:
• Load and travel
• Bath
• Farrier
She can be clipped, although she does require sedation for her legs. We have simply left the leg hair on in the past.
Summer does have a few small sarcoids, but they do not interfere with tack or her work, and her wonderful temperament far outweighs their cosmetic appearance.
