We have a number of baby bristlenose plecos for sale. (We are unable to sex them)
They are thriving and growing well, fed on a diet of high quality algae wafers, courgette and grazing on bio film.
Bristle nose plecos will typically grow to about 10-13cm and on occasions have grown bigger. They can become territorial so they need to have a cave or secure hiding spot. They are breeders, so if you have male and female (which we are unable to sex) be prepared for eggs once a month.
4-6 months is when the bristles will start to appear, they reach sexual maturity at roughly 6-12 months but usually hit breeding maturity at closer to 1 year.
