Willow – Looking for Her Forever Home ❤️
It breaks my heart to write this, but through no fault of her own, I am looking for a loving new home for my beautiful girl, Willow.
This is an incredibly difficult decision, but after recently having a baby, caring for my toddler, and managing a household with multiple dogs, I know I can no longer give Willow the time, exercise, and one-to-one attention she truly deserves.
Willow is a loving, loyal, and affectionate dog who adores being with her people. She loves cuddles and fuss and is happiest by your side. She's full of energy and absolutely loves the outdoors—she could happily walk for hours and still have plenty of energy left. She has excellent recall and enjoys learning, responding really well to treat-based training.
Willow has lived with her mum and dad since she was born. Unfortunately, as our elderly Maltese has become very frail and senile, managing the dogs together has become increasingly difficult. Willow has started reacting when the older dog invades her space or food, and with everything else going on at home, I can no longer safely manage the pack.
Outside of this situation, Willow is a very different dog. She isn't an aggressive dog and is happy to investigate and say hello to dogs she passes on walks. However, because she hasn't spent much time around unfamiliar dogs beyond passing them, I can't honestly say how she would be living with another dog. For that reason, I think she'd be happiest either as an only dog or with someone experienced who could introduce her carefully to another calm, friendly dog.
She isn't a big barker unless she's trying to get her mum to play, and she's currently unneutered.
I'm looking for an active couple or family who will make Willow part of their lives and give her the exercise, love, and attention she deserves. She would thrive with someone who has the time to continue her training, build her confidence, and enjoy the outdoors with her.
This decision has been heartbreaking, and finding the right home is far more important to me than finding a quick one. If you think you could offer Willow the life she deserves, I'd love to hear from you.
