Beautiful SPSBS Registered Standard Shetland Pony Mare
10 years old this Spring

She stands approx 39/40 inches tall
Ida is looking for the best kind loving forever home where she will be a member of the family as she has been here with us. We have owned her since she was a foal this is a very difficult choice for us to let her go but our family life and dynamic has changed a lot over the last year and we are now at a point where we no longer have the time and the kids no longer have enthusiasm for this beautiful little pony and we desperatly need to downsize our commitments.
She is looking for a new home with some pony pals to play with.
Ida had a very mild bout of suspected laminitis 2 years ago so ideally looking for a home with someone who has experience managing tubby little ponies.
Currently lives out 24/7 behind electric fence. She is happy to be stabled overnight too. Ida is very respectful of electric fencing. Easy and good to do in all ways. Great to tie and groom and have her feet done. Very trusting and little phases her she will follow you anywhere. She loves to go on walks on the lanes. Super to handle for adults or teens but can be a typical cheeky shetland and can be strong when she is excited and therefore not suitable as a childs pony.
She has been groomed and given lead rein rides to my kids but she needs an adult handler present else she will be cheeky.
Ida is used to farm life, not phased by livestock or farm machinery or huge wagons.She has had a harness on and towed things about. She has not been professionally backed or broken to drive a cart but it would not take much at all and I think she would be a great driving shetland.
She would be very happy being a companion pony or a rather large fun family pet too. She is a super sort and she needs a super forever home.
