With a truly heavy heart, I have made the decision to rehome my two African Harlequin hens following the loss of my male due to injury. As a result, I will not be continuing with this beautiful and rather rare breed.
These girls are incredibly special, and I am looking for a serious, knowledgeable, and caring home where their needs will be fully understood and met.
African Harlequins are a more delicate type of quail and require thoughtful care, particularly through the colder months. My girls have spent the entire winter safe and comfortable in my conservatory, and they are accustomed to a warm, sheltered environment. They are not suited to standard outdoor setups unless exceptionally well insulated.
