Description
Zorro was rescued from the pound by one of the shelters we work closely with. He had spent seven long months there waiting for a family of his own, but sadly no one came for him. Thankfully, the shelter stepped in to give him a better chance at finding the loving home he deserves. They named him Zorro which is Spanish for fox, because of his adorable fox-like looks.
Zorro is a small boy, weighing just 6.6kg. He is a mixed breed, likely with some Podenco in him, and has the perfect balance of being playful and also having a balanced energy. His striking white and brown mottled coat makes him very distinctive.
He is an affectionate, confident little dog who loves human company and enjoys playing. Compared to many of the dogs we rescue, Zorro has very little hunting instinct. He currently lives with both male and female dogs at the shelter, although he seems to get along best with females. He would also be fine as an only dog in the home.
Zorro is a lovely lad, but it’s clear he missed out on some important early socialisation. Because of this, he can sometimes become a little mouthy when overexcited or tired, and he is not always sure how to behave appropriately during play. For that reason, he would be best suited to a home without young children. He will need a patient and understanding family willing to continue his training and socialisation at his own pace. He can also be cat tested for the right home.
