Heidi – 8-Month-Old German Shepherd x Golden Retriever Heidi was born on 5 December 2025 and is an 8-month-old German Shepherd crossed with a Golden Retriever. She is in perfect health, is microchipped, and is up to date with all of her vaccinations, flea and tick treatment, and worming. Heidi has a small white spot on one of her eyes which has been there since I first got her. She has had several veterinary check-ups, and there are no concerns about it. Heidi is a bright, energetic puppy who will thrive with someone who has the time and experience to continue her training. She knows basic commands such as sit and paw, and she can lie down with the help of treats. Her recall still needs work, and like many adolescent puppies, she can be stubborn and likes to do things her own way. She has lots of energy and needs plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation every day. One of her biggest challenges is that she jumps up at people and mouths hands. This is not aggression—she is simply overexcited and playful—but because she is a large, strong puppy, she needs consistent training and patience to help her learn better manners. Heidi currently lives with a 7-month-old kitten. She has never shown any aggression towards him and simply wants to play with him all the time. She has also been good around children, although her jumping up and mouthing mean she could accidentally scratch or knock someone over when she gets excited. She is fed Harringtons Puppy Food twice a day. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but due to my health deteriorating since getting Heidi, I can no longer give her the time, exercise, and training she deserves. She is a wonderful dog with so much potential and would make an amazing companion for the right person. I believe Heidi would be happiest in a home with plenty of space, an active lifestyle, and someone who has the time, patience, and commitment to continue her training. My only priority is finding her a loving, permanent home where she can reach her full potential.
