Nellie is a beautiful, affectionate and full-of-life little dog who has, somehow, found herself looking for a home for the third time in her short life.
None of it has ever been her fault. She’s simply been passed around, never quite landing where she truly belongs — and we would now love nothing more than for that to change for her.
Because behind all of that, Nellie is a dog who absolutely adores people, brings joy wherever she goes, and is more than ready to finally settle into a home of her own.

💛 Her Personality
Nellie is a bright, affectionate and wonderfully playful little dog, with a real zest for life. She gets incredibly excited when it’s time to go for a walk — the kind of happy, wiggly excitement that’s impossible not to smile at.
She plays like a puppy, full of energy and enthusiasm, often getting completely giddy in the best possible way. It’s genuinely lovely to watch her enjoy herself and just be a dog.
Since arriving with us, Nellie has come on beautifully physically. She was extremely underweight when she first came in, and it’s been so rewarding to see her filling out, gaining strength, and starting to feel better in herself. As her body recovers, her confidence and happiness are growing alongside it, and we fully expect her to continue blossoming in the right home.
She is affectionate, engaging, and full of personality — a dog who will bring both fun and warmth into everyday life.

🧠 Growing in Confidence
Nellie is a sensitive dog, and given her history, that’s completely understandable.
She can feel a little unsure in certain situations and has shown some mild reactivity at times, but this is very manageable and already improving well. It comes from insecurity rather than anything else, and with reassurance, structure and consistency, she does really nicely.
We will be looking for someone who is happy to continue following our approach, but this is not something we see as a long-term concern in the right home.

🐕 With Other Dogs
Nellie is good with other dogs and enjoys their company.
She currently has a lovely bond with Trimi at the kennels, and they spend time together happily.
She could live with another dog, or equally be the only dog in the home — as long as she has the attention and connection she enjoys.

🌿 Her Ideal Home
Nellie is an active, engaging little dog who will thrive in a home that enjoys including their dog in daily life and giving her both structure and fun. She doesn’t need chaos or constant stimulation, but she does need a home where she is part of things and has an outlet for her energy.
Her ideal home would be:
• 🌿 Active, with regular and meaningful walks (at least twice a day)
• 🏡 Not overly busy or chaotic — a calmer environment will suit her best
• 💛 A home where she can be a real focus and included in day-to-day life
• 🚶♀️ People who enjoy getting out and about with their dog

👤 The Right Owner
Nellie will do best with someone who understands that while she is a lovely, affectionate dog, she also benefits from a bit of guidance and reassurance as she continues to grow in confidence. She doesn’t need a specialist — just someone consistent, kind, and present.
We are looking for someone who is:

• 🚶♀️ Active enough to meet her exercise needs
• 🧠 Understanding of a slightly sensitive but very manageable dog

She’s not a complicated dog — she’s just a dog who hasn’t had her chance yet.
