Description
Four goslings from my unrelated Embden geese which are themselves hand reared and beautifully tame. These next generation have been hand reared in my kitchen and handled daily in a busy family household with children, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and more.
One gander needs rehoming due to ratios.
Free to a good home.
I cannot guarantee anything other than a gentle trusting nature at this point. I know geese are sometimes used as fox protection. My adult geese haven’t been fox tested and I wouldn’t as they are very used to dogs. Just being straight here as I know some people use geese as guard animals. This gander is not your man for the job! He’s never been threatened. He’s only learned to trust.
My goslings free roam my garden and until yesterday have slept in a crate in my kitchen overnight. They are now able to sleep outside and photos in pen are just as we are practicing evening snacks times to get them in routine for coming in to bed. These are incredible intelligent animals and this gander would make a family pet or wonderful breeding stock for anyone having to replace a gander.
I recommend the website Salt In My Coffee for anyone wanting information on geese. Happy to answer any questions. Good homes only! This is not your average gander! He will happily have a cuddle and to be honest I’m pretty sure he can understand what I say to him… 😂

Please note - Embden geese are 80% sex linked by colouring at birth. On this basis, and past experience, I am 80% confident this is a gander. On size he also presents as male. I’m not going to be able to be more accurate than those well known statistics about Embden geese. Just for full transparency and I’m not someone on this site saying they have no idea what sex their embden goslings could be…!
