He's a gentle, affectionate young lad with impeccable manners and a lovely, kind nature. Having previously lived in a home, rescue life has been quite a big change for him, so he can be a little shy and overwhelmed at first. Give him a little time, however, and you'll discover a wonderful companion who simply loves being around people. Henry has been thoroughly enjoying spending time with our volunteers and is growing in confidence every day. He loves a fuss, takes treats beautifully gently, and is a pleasure to spend time with. Henry's Ideal Home Henry could happily live with children and has done so previously. However, because he can be a little sensitive to busy environments, we'd love to find him a quieter family home rather than one with lots of hustle and bustle. Calm, dog-savvy children who understand when a dog needs a little space would suit him perfectly. He has not yet learned reliable recall, so this is something his new family will need to work on. Like any young dog, he will also benefit from continued socialisation, training, and plenty of positive experiences as he settles into family life. A home with another friendly dog would be wonderful for Henry, although it isn't essential if his family can provide him with lots of companionship, reassurance, and opportunities to build his confidence. Why We Love Henry Henry doesn't need to be the centre of attention—he's simply looking for a family who will love him, be patient with him, and show him all the wonderful things life has to offer. He's the sort of dog who will quietly become your best friend.
