Description
Reggie is a 4–5 year old Staffy x Boxer looking for a loving new home due to a change in circumstances. This is a heartbreaking decision, but with work commitments and other dogs in the household, we can no longer give him the time and attention he deserves.
Reggie is a beautiful, affectionate boy who absolutely loves people and enjoys being the centre of attention. He is friendly on walks, does not react aggressively to other dogs he meets, and is generally well-behaved when out and about. He can be protective if he feels that he or his owner is threatened, which is typical of his loyal nature.
We believe Reggie has some separation anxiety, although he can be left alone for reasonable periods and copes well. He would thrive in a home where someone has the time and patience to continue building his confidence and helping him manage his anxiety.
It is important to mention that Reggie has had an incident in the home where he bit another dog. This was not an unprovoked attack and appeared to be related to jealousy and competition for attention rather than general aggression. However, for this reason, we feel he would be best suited as the only dog in the home or with an experienced owner who understands dog behaviour and introductions.
He is not an aggressive dog just hasn’t got on with the 2 dogs my partner has too.
Reggie is a loving, loyal companion with so much love to give. He deserves a home where he can receive the attention, reassurance, and stability he needs to truly flourish.
