Description

Hi Everyone, my name is Ian Smith and I live in London. I have a beautiful 50% German Shepherd rescue, Farla, that I brought back to the UK from Portugal where she was abandoned 18 months ago - she has a beautiful nature and I'm very attached to her and her to me, but, sadly, despite my best efforts, I have been unable to integrate her into my family to be, mainly due to her dislike of cats and territorialness with other dogs in my home. She is not aggressive with people at all, in fact quite the opposite; she is very affectionate and she loves and plays with other dogs outside (including my other dog, Blue, who is also a Portuguese rescue), but is reluctant to let other dogs into her space at home and that is the core of the problem - I'm getting married later this year and we are two weeks away from trying to move in together, but Farla is currently making that impossible and I need help. Very reluctantly, I desperately need her rehomed - In a nutshell, between me and my fiancé, we have 4 dogs (including Farla) and 3 cats and it is proving impossible to bring Farla into the blended family and we are at our wits end with trainers and behaviourists where I've spent a fortune and nothing has worked – I’m sure we could solve the territorial issue in time, but the cat problem seems intractable. She would be very happy in a single dog home – she’s lovely in every way other than her prey instinct with cats (and, of course, squirrels and foxes!). She is chipped and spayed and in very good health and would make an excellent companion for someone for whom she is the only pet – she thrives on one on one attention! Of course, I'm happy to explain further and provide as much information as is needed, but I'm really hoping you can help. I hope to hear from you. ps, the site forces me to put a min price of £75, but I dont intend charging for her - I just want her to go to a good home!
