Description
JASON - 4.5 years old, neutered male, small crossbreed - now in UK foster - Rubery, Birmingham
Jason has been truly fortunate to have a wonderful foster mum who has worked tirelessly with him, helping him grow in confidence and rediscover the joy of his walks. Thanks to her dedication, Jason has made fantastic progress and is now a much happier, more relaxed dog. Sadly, due to her ill health, she can no longer continue caring for him, and we are urgently looking for a new home. Our greatest hope is that Jason can move straight into his forever home, but we would also consider a foster placement with a view to adoption. Jason deserves stability, kindness, and a family to call his own.
Good with other dogs and children (10 yrs +), not bothered when he sees a cat - but hasn't lived with one, enjoys walks and plenty of cuddles.
Sweet, loving Jason flew from Cyprus to a UK foster home in January after being abandoned. He arrived scared and unsure, but thanks to the tender care of his foster mum, he has blossomed into a joyful and happy boy.
This is what his foster mum says:
"At first he was a very scared shaggy looking ball of fluff. So scared of the lead/ harness/ collar. It broke my heart to see this little dog that was desperate to go outside and explore the world, but so scared of the equipment to help him do so safely.
After a few weeks of working with him we were going on walks! He loved it! Now he has a minimum of 4 walks a day.
He's so loving. He loves nothing more than a cuddle and curling up next to you in bed. He really is such a wonderful boy. He loves to meet other dogs and is not bothered by cats. He loves to play. He growls when he's playing it just a play growl. He gets zoomies after his walks and runs around with his favourite toy. He can be shy at first. But once he comes out of his shell he's so funny and goofy. He can be sassy. He can resource guard his toys and treats. But he is improving. He will need to be muzzled for baths and groom's. He's not the biggest fan of being messed with.
Overall he is a sweet, loving, funny, sassy boy. He would be great in a home with adults and older children 10+ He would enjoy being the only dog in the house"
Anyone who chooses to adopt him will be lucky to gain a snuggly friend and a faithful companion.
Jason has been neutered, is vaccinated including rabies vaccination, fully blood tested, has a pet passport and is microchipped.
