Description

🐾 Meet Scrabble 💙 Scrabble is a handsome, affectionate and quietly charismatic young dog who tends to catch people’s attention wherever he goes. He forms strong bonds with his people and, once he knows you, becomes wonderfully loving and easy to be around — the kind of dog who enjoys being close, whether that’s following you from room to room or settling in for a cuddle at the end of the day. He also has a playful, slightly goofy side and absolutely loves his toys — especially if they squeak. The squeakier the better, in his opinion. He can happily entertain himself or bring his toys over to share the fun with you. ________________________________________ 💛 His Personality Scrabble is a sensitive, intelligent and affectionate dog who really thrives on connection with his people. He is very food motivated and quick to understand, which makes him a great dog to train. He enjoys learning, engages well, and has lovely potential for obedience and recall work with the right guidance. He’s also a really fun dog to have around — playful, engaging, and full of character. Between his love of toys, his enthusiasm for treats, and his affectionate nature, he brings a lovely balance of energy and companionship into the home. ________________________________________ 🧠 A Young Dog Still Learning Scrabble is still a young dog who hasn’t yet had the chance to fully settle into a consistent home environment, and he can feel a little anxious in new or unfamiliar situations. He has been showing some reactivity when out and about, which we have been working on, and this is something that will need to be continued by his future family. That said, he is very responsive to training and reassurance, and we are already seeing good progress. With consistency, calm handling and continued support, we expect him to continue developing really well. At home, he may take a little time to feel comfortable with new people, but with the right introductions and reassurance, he settles and builds confidence nicely. ________________________________________ 🐕 With Other Dogs Scrabble is very comfortable around other dogs and genuinely enjoys their company. He mixes well both on and off lead and is relaxed in social settings. He has a lovely friendship with Frankie at the rescue, and we do feel he would really benefit from having another dog in the home. He would make a particularly great canine companion. ________________________________________ 🌿 His Ideal Home Scrabble would suit a calm, stable home where he can continue to build confidence and feel secure. He doesn’t need extreme exercise — just normal daily walks, interaction, and the chance to be part of life with his people. He’s just as happy enjoying time at home as he is heading out for a walk or a small adventure (especially if it involves snacks). Due to a previous negative experience with confinement, he would not suit a home that plans to use crate training. An adult home (16+) will suit him best. ________________________________________ 👤 The Right Owner We are looking for someone who is: • 💛 Calm, patient and reassuring • 🧠 Interested in continuing his training and building his confidence • 🐾 Comfortable supporting a sensitive young dog • 🐕 Ideally already has another friendly dog ________________________________________ 🐾 A Few Details • 🏡 Adult home (16+) • 🐕 Dog companion preferred (but not essential) • 🐱 Not tested with cats • 🍗 Very food motivated • 🧸 Absolutely loves toys (the squeakier the better!) • 💤 House trained • 🚫 Not suitable for crate training • 🚶 Moderate energy • 🧠 Strong training potential • 🐾 Requires 2–3 visits before adoption ________________________________________ 💫 Why Scrabble? Scrabble is a dog with a huge amount of potential. He’s affectionate, intelligent, playful and genuinely enjoyable to be around. He may need a bit of guidance and reassurance as he settles into a new life, but in the right home, he will grow quickly in confidence and become a deeply loyal and rewarding companion — the kind of dog who bonds closely, loves his people, and brings both fun and affection into everyday life. ________________________________________ ✨ Scrabble just needs someone to give him that chance — and to see what he’s capable of becoming. If you think you could offer Scrabble the calm, supportive and loving home he deserves, please fill in an enquiry form — we would love to hear from you 💙🐾
