Description

It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to rehome our much-loved Husky cross, Hugo. When we bought him, we were told he was a Husky x English Bull Terrier. However, our vet believes he is more likely crossed with a German Shepherd or Labrador. He is healthy, up to date with vaccinations, has no ongoing medical issues, and has previously lived with other dogs. Hugo has a funny, unique personality and loves being around people. Things to know: Strong on the lead and needs someone confident handling large dogs. Selective recall, so should only be off lead in secure areas. High prey drive. Very excitable around people and dogs on walks and needs continued training. Suffers from separation anxiety and prefers constant companionship. Needs more exercise and enrichment than we can currently provide due to my ill health. We believe Hugo would thrive in a home with a large secure garden, farm or smallholding, where he has plenty of space, exercise, enrichment and love. Hugo isn't a particularly cuddly dog. He enjoys a calm fuss and will sometimes ask for a cuddle when you come home, but he's happiest simply being near his people. He is great with children, although we feel a home with children aged 8+ would be best due to his size and excitement. He has no food or toy guarding behaviours. ❤️ This is an incredibly difficult decision. Hugo has had four homes, including ours, and he truly deserves his forever home. There is a rehoming fee to help ensure he goes to a safe, loving and committed home, although this can be discussed for the right family.
