Both parents live in the house along with our other dogs and are both very sociable, kind tempered and love a cuddle. Edie was born here and we have her mum, aunt and half sister. Shes is a big “dads girl” and loves her cuddles in the sofa with him. She enjoys her training classes excelling at scent work and loves to swim at the dog pool. Whilst Moose is more laid back he also enjoys his training classes but is also quite happy to lay out sunning himself, he loves to run on the beach, to chase a ball and tell the birds off for landing in the trees in the garden 😀
They both attend obedience and agility classes, and attend scent workshops and puzzle training have taken their KC Good Citizen tests & participate in fun dog shows, Edie regularly coming home with 🥇 for most appealing eyes 😀 They mix with other dogs on a daily basis & both like the company of children.
This is Edies first litter and she’s an amazing mum. Shes been very attentive and lips are coming in in leaps and bounds. She was bred here within our home and was subjected to the same puppy socialisation programme that her pups will shortly partake in. Moose was also chosen to join our family as he was also bred & reared within a home environment and this is extremely important when ensuring that we only chose parents who are environmentally stable, social and people focussed.
The pups are brought up in the midst of a busy household and follow a guided socialisation plan to ensure they have had the best start and have encountered as many people, situations and noises as possible during their short weeks with us which takes up more than half of their critical development period. This can then be continued by the new owners once the puppy leaves us.
The pups will be ready for their forever homes from the 23rd March onwards when they will have been microchipped, had their first vaccination and been vet checked with a written report.
The pups will open their eyes and also begin to hear within the next week and you’ll get some glimpse into their characters once they start to see and move around more. Currently they just eat and sleep. Weaning will begin in 2 weeks time and again once they start on solid food they really become mobile and active. Puppy visits will be welcomed from the last weekend in Feb when pups are almost 5 weeks old and less vulnerable to infection from outside their environment. You are able to see both parents alongside the pups. Once pups have been chosen we are happy for you to visit weekly.
By the time our puppies leave us they are weaned and will have tried a variety of foods & treats, crate trained and pretty much toilet trained. All our pups leave with a generous puppy pack which includes food, treats, paperwork, advice sheets, scented blanket and toy and a contract.
We have a private Facebook group for all of our puppy owners and are always there to offer help and advice as needed. You would be added to the group if you decided to go ahead with one of our puppies and our support is there infinitely.
We put a lot into our puppies and only look for the best homes for them. If you’d like to be considered for one of our pups we do have a form that would require completing in the first instance. I’ll pop the link for the form at the bottom of my message
We also like get a feel for yourselves and your lifestyle which not only which helps in ensuring we have chosen the right families for our pups but also that any chosen pup has the characteristics to be a good fit to your family.
Our pups are priced at £1750 with a holding fee of £250 due if you wish to go ahead and the balance due prior to collection.
We do have both a fb page and Instagram as Summerfield Spaniels and Doodles if you’d like to look at those for photos of previous litters, more of Edies or Mooses lifestyle or our other dogs.
I am licenced with my local council (NELC) for both breeding licence (AW0096) holding a 5* licence and you are welcome to check with the council that I am legitimate as I appreciate there are a lot of puppy scams. We can also put you in touch with previous puppy owners who would be happy to vouch for us. Being licensed means the local council have checked my home is suitable to bring up pups, that I keep accurate records for all aspects regarding my dogs and any pups, my dogs are healthy and happy, my house is clean and that I’m accountable to them and follow DEFRA guidelines. It also means all my dogs have been officially checked over and all my procedures and protocols signed off by an independent vet appointed by the council.
We are based in NE Lincolnshire.
