Description
These are my breeding pair of Red Ackie Monitors, this is an unexpected sale due to complications with house moving and i can no longer keep them. They are both great lizards and have no problems at all. They are with handling and the male has only bitten me due to my fault. He doesnt seek to hurt anyone it was a simple mistake. They eat a mixed diet of hoppers, crickets, dubias and mealworms, however, the male doesnt seem interested in any of the worms and prefers insects that are jumpy and fast, it is very entertaining to see him hunt as he loves it and prefers seeing the insects alive and moving, if he doesnt see it move its not going in his mouth. The female lizard likes being tong fed and is very food motivated, she will jump and chase the tongs even if there is no food on them. The previous owner fed frozen mice and rats but i didnt find it necessary as they have thrived together since i have had them. They have no problems with each other and have never fought, they cuddle when they sleep and are always together, it is a rare sight to see them separated. The buyer i bought from before told me that they had a clutch of 14 eggs. They havent bred for me but i do see attempts in mating every once in a while. I have been told that they are 3, the female, and 4, the male. These are lovely lizards and i hate to see them go but i cannot provide the space and care they need. Setup can be discussed at an added cost. Message me if you have any questions! Thank you.
