Description
We have made the incredibly difficult decision to find a new forever home for our much-loved dog.
This hasn’t been an easy choice. Our son has cerebral palsy and will be undergoing major surgery this summer, which will require a lot of care and attention during his recovery. Alongside this, we also have our daughter, and unfortunately we can no longer give our dog the time, exercise, and consistency he truly deserves. Before our daughter was born, he enjoyed long daily walks of 5–6 miles, and now he only manages short walks.
He is a loving and affectionate dog who absolutely adores our two children. However, he does have some behavioural challenges that we simply don’t have the time to fully work through.
He can be reactive when guests enter the home, particularly men and children, although he has never bitten anyone. Since losing our older dog last summer, he seems to have become more protective of us.
Out on walks, he has lots of energy and will happily go for miles on the lead, but he does pull and currently has no recall. He may bark at other dogs, though he generally just wants to keep moving. He loves water, puddles, and playing ball.
A bit more about him:
• He will be 3 years old on 19th April
• Neutered (10/02/26)
• Microchipped
• Fully up to date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatments
He’s a fun, affectionate dog with a lovely personality. He loves:
• Playing with balls
• Water (even jumping into the shower!)
• Bubbles and balloons (especially popping them!)
• Cuddles and lying under blankets
At home, he is house-trained and stays in the kitchen when left alone, as he will bark at passers-by if given access to the rest of the house. He also has a habit of barking at animals on the television.
He has lived with other animals and gets along well—he previously lived with our older dog, and has stayed with family who have dogs, children, and even cats.
He would be best suited to an active family who can give him the time, exercise, and ongoing training he needs. A secure garden is important, as he can jump and we currently have high fencing and a pet gate in place.
We would love to stay in touch and see how he gets on in his new home.
If you feel you could offer him the loving, active home he deserves, please get in touch
