Fur & Feather Co. is pleased to invite expressions of interest in our current Alaska rabbit litter.
The Alaska is a beautiful and increasingly uncommon breed, and our breeding programme has been established with a clear purpose: to help preserve, promote and improve the breed within the United Kingdom for future generations of exhibitors and breeders.
We are passionate about safeguarding the future of the Alaska rabbit and are committed to breeding towards the British Rabbit Council breed standard, with careful attention given to type, condition, colour, temperament and overall quality.
Our current litter is being grown on and assessed, and we are now welcoming enquiries from individuals who share our enthusiasm for the breed.
We are particularly interested in hearing from:
🏆 British Rabbit Council exhibitors
🏆 Individuals wishing to begin showing Alaskas
🧬 Responsible breeding programmes
🤝 Established breeders and serious enthusiasts
📖 Those committed to promoting, preserving and strengthening the breed in the UK
Our rabbits are bred with exhibition, breed preservation and long-term breed improvement in mind and are therefore intended for:
✔ BRC show homes
✔ Breeding homes working towards the breed standard
✔ Homes with a genuine interest in the future development of the Alaska rabbit
❌ Not available as general pets
❌ Not available for indiscriminate breeding
Every placement is considered carefully. Our priority is ensuring that each rabbit can contribute positively to the future of the breed, whether through exhibition, responsible breeding, or helping to introduce new exhibitors to Alaskas.
We welcome enquiries from both established exhibitors and those new to the breed who wish to become involved in showing and breed preservation. Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and a genuine commitment to the Alaska rabbit are highly valued.
As part of the enquiry process, prospective homes may be asked to provide information regarding their experience, accommodation, exhibition goals, breeding plans, and commitment to the future of the breed.
Preference may be given to active exhibitors, established breeders and those who demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting, promoting and preserving the Alaska rabbit within the UK.
Homes will be selected on suitability rather than on a first-come, first-served basis.
