3-Year-Old Border Collie – Needs Calm, Experienced Home
I am looking to rehome my 3-year-old female Border Collie. This is an incredibly difficult decision, and my priority is finding her a home where she can feel safe and thrive.
She is a very gentle, non-aggressive dog but is naturally nervous and sensitive. She often carries her tail tucked and can be easily overwhelmed. When people enter the home or when we return after being out, she may urinate due to anxiety.
She currently lives with two larger, boisterous dogs (a Husky and a German Shepherd), and I believe this environment is too much for her. She would be best suited to a calm, quiet home—ideally as the only dog or with a very kind , gentle companion.
She needs:
- A patient, understanding owner (experience with nervous dogs preferred)
- A quiet household (no young children)
- Time and space to build confidence at her own pace
She is not aggressive in any way—just very timid and needs reassurance and stability.
This is not a first-come, first-served situation. Finding the right home is far more important than a quick placement. I will ask questions and would like to stay in touch initially to ensure she settles well.
