Our litter has been sired by a local stud, a Black & Cream Longhaired Miniature Dachshund of excellent quality and temperament. He is genetic health tested. He attended Crufts this year and excels in dog shows around the UK. The Quality and Temperament of the puppies is very important to us. His personality was exactly what we were wanting as he is very soft natured, gentle and social with adults, children and dogs.
These puppies are pedigree Longhaired Miniature Dachshunds with two KC registered parents, however they will not be KC registered, as they are being placed into pet homes only. I also disagree with recent events involving the Kennel Club/ Crufts. These puppies are destined for sofa life and cuddles galore, not showbiz or parenthood.
The sire has undergone comprehensive genetic health testing. The Dam is hereditary tested and both have been confirmed clear of the following conditions:
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA CORD 1 & CORD 4)
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI)
Mucopolysaccharidosis IIIA
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 1
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 2
Dam & Sire come from lines with no known history of Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD).
The puppies are currently being weaned onto Nature’s Menu raw minced meals, including chicken, chicken & tripe, tripe mince, turkey mince and chicken & lamb. This can be purchased from Pets At Home or Online. In addition to their raw meals, they are also supplemented with goat’s milk and scrambled eggs between feeds to support healthy growth and development.
The puppies will be ready to leave our home at 8 weeks of age. Each puppy will depart with:
• A puppy pack.
• A paperwork folder containing all relevant information.
• Microchip certification.
• Their first vaccinations.
• A full worming history.
Viewings may take place from 4 weeks of age onwards. To ensure the wellbeing of both the mother and the puppies, we will be permitting one visit per family. Multiple visits can cause unnecessary stress for the mother, and at this young age the puppies still have a developing immune system, so limiting visits is essential for their health and safety.
The puppies will be socialised with young children.
As part of their early socialisation, the puppies are also undergoing a sound desensitisation programme and ENS. This includes controlled exposure to a variety of everyday household and environmental sounds such as vacuum cleaners, televisions, kitchen appliances, traffic noise, children playing, and other common auditory stimuli. This structured approach helps ensure the puppies grow in confidence, develop strong coping skills, and transition smoothly into their new homes with reduced sensitivity to new or unexpected noises.
RING security cameras on 24/7 at premises. 🎥
Please don’t ask for a reduction in the price of the puppies. The price reflects the hard work and thought that has gone in to the preparation, pairing and raising of them. These puppies will be sound and to standard. They won’t spend their lives at the veterinary clinic.
Pop us over a message if you are interested in one of our puppies.
We would be happy to help pair you with the right one for your family. Thank You!
