A little about me in my own words (please
remember that humans are not defined by
their pasts alone- neither are we).
They’ve called me ‘Cockles’- the rescuers
mum is very good at choosing names. I
respond to kindness of tone so I don’t
mind what you call me. It should be a
pretty name because they tell me I am
beautiful. Leesa the owner of break the
chains who you see in the videos & images
of me, was there to
take pictures of ‘Zelda’ & ‘Pablo’ my
friends because we are all at risk- please
ask to learn more about this. When she
saw me along with so many others she
couldn’t help but want to help me. I don’t
understand the human world & why I was
abandoned & still homeless now, when all
I’ve ever done is give every ounce of my
gentle & happy soul- actually there was
never anyone to direct it at because
everyone walked passed me & considered
me no more than spent litter. I often tried
to attach to people who I have such faith in
wagging my tail but I never had any takers.
With my resolve & passive nature I have
just continued on desperately hoping that
one day it will have all been for something-
not ‘nothing’. I’ve been here from a
relatively young age so other than neglect
there isn’t much of a back story which is
fortunate for anyone wanting me. As it is
there are so many animals with terrible
histories and they just bounce back. We
are not defined by it rather than resilient
and ever desiring of your devotion & care.
I’m just an all round joyful companion &
family pet- I’m waiting to change your life
for the better and for you to do the same
for me. I am adaptable and can be homed
with couples, single living folk and families.
I am young so would like to go on
adventures whether that’s daily walks &/or
camping. As I love dogs it would be
beneficial if you had some friends for me
either in your home or as part of my weekly
activities such as meeting dogs in the
community & your extended family
