After spending the last eight years in a loving home, this handsome 10-year-old Romanian rescue is, through no fault of his own, searching for one final family to love him for the rest of his days.
A home where he can continue enjoying the life he loves—country walks, swimming, car adventures, and curling up indoors with the people he adores.

Looking at Atlas, you’d never guess he’s 10. He still loves exploring, enjoys long walks, absolutely adores swimming, and greets life with a wagging tail and the biggest smile.
Atlas has spent the last eight years as a much-loved family dog. He has wonderful manners around the home, rarely barks, is incredibly gentle by nature, and has never shown aggression.
He has always lived indoors and has become a calm, loyal companion who simply enjoys being part of family life.
Like many rescue dogs, Atlas arrived in the UK carrying fears of the world around him. With patient guidance, love, and support from a behaviourist, he has made incredible progress over the years.
His journey is something to be immensely proud of and is a testament to what kindness, consistency, and understanding can achieve.
Atlas gets along beautifully with other dogs and enjoys their company, so he could happily live with canine companions or be equally content as the centre of someone’s world.
Atlas may be 10 years old, but don’t tell him that—he still believes every walk is an adventure, every river is there for swimming, and every car journey is the start of something exciting.
Like many big dogs, Atlas has a gentle stubborn streak that will often make you smile. At almost 50kg, if he decides he’d rather stay where he is, or if something worries him and he doesn’t want to move, he can become quite immovable! Because of his size, he is looking for an owner who understands large breeds and can offer calm, confident leadership. He responds best to patience, reassurance, and someone who understands that trust is built through kindness rather than force.
At 10 years old, Atlas deserves nothing less than another loving home where he can continue enjoying the comforts he’s always known. Older dogs are so often overlooked, yet they ask for so little and give so much in return. Atlas still has plenty of love, adventures, happy memories, and loyal companionship left to offer—he simply needs someone willing to give him that chance.
