Dallas is a lovely little horse with a huge personality and a very bright future ahead of him. He’s an absolute head turner with a beautiful thick mane and tail, a kind eye, and a presence that gets him noticed everywhere he goes.
Dallas was started later in life and has been in consistent education for the last 2 years with 2–3 lessons a week with a professional trainer. As you can imagine, a huge amount of time, training, and investment has gone into producing him correctly. He is still green in places due to only being started later in life, but he is safe, willing, clever, and learns incredibly quickly.
Dallas is an extremely agile, athletic, and forward going horse who would suit somebody wanting a versatile horse they can continue producing their own way. Although currently ridden western, there is absolutely no reason why he could not transition into English disciplines if desired. He is currently started on ranch trail and would make a fantastic all-round western horse.
Dallas hacks out confidently in company and is happy leading or following.
He has also been used for photoshoots and country music videos and absolutely takes it all in his stride, happily handling busy environments, cameras, music, and lots going on around him. Dallas also takes everyday life well in his stride and is good with traffic, farm machinery and general busy surroundings.
Dallas is not a novice ride and would best suit a confident, calm rider who enjoys building a partnership with their horse. He is naturally forward going, athletic, and very intelligent, with a lovely willing attitude and plenty of try. He responds beautifully to quiet, consistent riding and has come on hugely over the last two years with regular education and correct production.
He is still continuing his journey and will remain in regular weekly lessons 2–3 times a week to further his education until a five-star home is found.
Barefoot with strong healthy feet.
Excellent stable manners.
Easy to catch, groom, bath, hose down, load and travel.
Good with dogs and other livestock.
Not fussy to feed.
Currently lives out 24/7 with access to his own field shelter at night and during winter is happily stabled overnight. He turns out well with both mares and geldings and is equally happy living within a herd or in an individual paddock.
Full history known since birth, with photos and information available from throughout his life.
No known health issues or vices.
The only reason for sale is that I’ve decided to pursue reining more seriously and realistically need a horse bred specifically for that discipline. This is an incredibly difficult decision and absolutely no reflection on Dallas himself.
A very special home is an absolute must for this lovely boy as he deserves somebody who will continue his education and enjoy him as much as I have.
