Description

It breaks our hearts to make this decision, but we are looking for a forever home for our 3-year-old male dog. This decision has been made purely because of our family circumstances. Our daughter, Chloe, has complex medical needs, including a congenital heart condition and significant anxiety. She has become very fearful around him, and due to her health and ongoing medical care, we feel it is in everyone’s best interest to find him a home where he can receive the attention and environment he deserves. He is a cross between a Maltese Bichon (mother) and a Royal Chinese Pekingese (father). He is: ● House trained and only toilets outside. ● Healthy, playful, energetic, and full of character. ● Very affectionate with adults once he knows them. ● Loves going for walks and enjoys being active. ● Intelligent and confident with a strong personality. We want to be completely honest about his temperament so we can find the right match. He is quite bossy and likes things on his own terms. He doesn’t enjoy being constantly disturbed or handled when he wants to be left alone. If left alone while his owners are at work, he may bark, so he is not the type of dog that is happy being left for long periods every day. For this reason, we believe he would thrive in: ● A home with a secure garden where he has space to explore. ● A family or individual with experience of small dogs. ● A home without young children, as he can bark if he feels bothered or overwhelmed. Our daughter has become frightened by this, which is one of the reasons we have made this difficult decision. We are not looking to rehome him quickly—we want to find the right home where he will be loved, understood, and treated as part of the family. This is an incredibly difficult decision for us, so we kindly ask that only genuinely interested people who can offer him a forever home get in touch.
