Beautiful Indian Star tortoise hatchlings available from my established breeding group.
These babies have been carefully incubated and are being raised with correct levels of UVB, heat and humidity. They are all feeding well on a varied diet of weeds and leafy greens, appropriately supplemented with vitamins and calcium. All are showing steady growth curves and have smooth shells.
All hatchlings are supplied with the appropriate CITES Article 10 paperwork and are sold in full compliance with UK regulations.
I am an independent breeder focused on proper husbandry and long term health, rather than volume production and quick sales. I am very happy to answer any questions, before and after purchase. Buyers will be provided with a PDF copy of my Indian Star Hatchling Care Guide (usually sold separately) upon receipt of a deposit.
I have two babies available from my first clutches and further clutches will be made available in the coming weeks once the Article 10 certificates are processed.
Due to my commitment to proper care standards, I will insist on evidence of the following (minimum) preparation, prior to collection:
- furnished 4x2ft vivarium (minimum size for hatchlings and juveniles) or larger
- suitable thermostatically controlled heat source (CHE / DHP or similar) and monitoring
- appropriate T5 UVB strip lighting
- moisture holding substrate
- a basic understanding of Indian Star Tortoise care requirements
Please note, tortoise tables or any other open type enclosures are NOT SUITABLE for this species of tortoise.
