💛🦆 Miniature Pet Drakes Looking for a Home Together 🦆💛
With a rather heavy heart, we have made the difficult decision to find a new home for our two pure Apricot Call Drake brothers.
These little boys hatched here with me a year ago and have been making us smile ever since. They are genuinely one of the highlights of our garden. 🤍
Out of all eight Call Ducks we have, these two are by far the most attached to one another. They are almost never seen apart. When they wander around the garden, they quite literally walk shoulder-to-shoulder like two little old gentlemen out for their daily stroll. 🥹
Because of their bond, they absolutely must stay together.
Personality-wise, they couldn't be more different.
🦆 The lighter boy is gentle, shy and incredibly placid.
🦆 The darker boy has very much appointed himself Head of Security. 😂
If there is any perceived danger, he immediately steps forward to protect his brother. And by "protect" I mean he will bravely launch a tiny attack involving a very gentle nibble or an aggressive march towards your boot. His heart is willing, even if his size is not. 🤣
Being drakes, they are wonderfully quiet compared to female Call Ducks and would be perfectly suited to a smaller garden, particularly where neighbors may not appreciate the enthusiastic commentary that female Calls are famous for. 😅
The boys are currently molting, so their normally beautiful apricot feathering is looking a little shabby at the moment. Like many of us, they are not at their photographic best right now. 😂
The rehoming is completely genuine. Sadly, we have lost a couple of our female Call Ducks and now have more drakes than we can comfortably keep.
They would be very happy living together without any females and would make wonderful companions for somebody looking for a pair of sweet-natured, entertaining little ducks.
£10 per pair.
The only thing I ask is that their new family understands how special their bond is and allows them to stay together.
