This is a unique story, we are reaching out to people as a family.
Our uncle who sadly passed away on 4th June 2026, which was his mother’s birthday, had worked all his life with the RSPCA and has always had dogs and cats.
Unfortunately when he passed, he left 10 cats but we have managed to home 3 of them through the family. It is heartbreaking for us because we all love the cats dearly and because he lived in a council flat we only have 28 days to remove everything, as you can imagine we are in a terrible position.
We want all of the other cats to go to a good home.
One thing that we do ask of anyone is to please keep us updated with their progress and an occasional photograph because it is important to us that we know they are doing okay.
The reason he ended up with 10 is because in his garden shed a stray cat had 4 babies, the RSPCA rescued them at a couple of days old and he took care of them and the mom. The mom left and he couldn’t get rid of the babies, so he ended up keeping them. The same happened again 4/5 years later and another stray in his garden had another 4 babies, which left him with another 4 fur babies. The other 2 were strays that have come to him for years and he has fed them outside, then they eventually moved in which makes the 10 cats.
