hello! i am looking for the perfect home for my two tiels. the lutino is named ponyo, they are VERY shy and timid of people and birds. they will take food if they feel comfortable, i don’t think it would be impossible to tame them but it would be a challenge.
the grey tiel is pigeon who due to displaying frequent mating signals i feel she is a female. she is more curious and brave and will come to take food more often than ponyo. taming her may be easier
ponyo was my second bird, the pet shop hurt him whilst catching him which i think caused some trauma? i spent months trying to tame him, i also had budgies at the time. he would avoid the budgie who tried to preen him. i decided to get him a friend, pigeon, yet they’re neutral rather than friends. they have never preened one another and bicker. i got a conure who became incredibly tame, he preens both tiels. due to ab increased amount of time out of the house i got my conure a friend - now the two bully my tiels a little bit.
they deserve their own home to have focus on them, or perhaps an aviary! my birds are cageless and live in the room, i would not be comfortable with them being caged all day
i will be very fussy as these birds are important to me! both birds are approx two, ponyo closer to three. ponyo is ringed, pigeon is not.
collection is fine, delivery can be arranged if you cover fuel! the birds do not come with a cage, unfortunately
they will be free to a good home
