German Shepherd for Sale – 1 Year 11 Months Old I am sadly looking to rehome my German Shepherd, who is 1 year and 11 months old. I recently purchased him after being given incorrect information about his temperament, particularly around other dogs. He is a lovely, affectionate dog once he gets to know you. He can be very nervous and scared around new people initially, but with time and patience, he becomes much more comfortable and trusting. He is extremely ball-obsessed and loves playing fetch. Despite his excitement over the ball, he shows no aggression when you take the ball from him. He is also very good with my 3-year-old daughter and has been gentle and loving with her. Unfortunately, his main issue is his behaviour around other dogs. I was told that he was very good with other dogs, but this has not been the case. When he sees another dog, he can bark, lunge and try to get towards them. Because I have a young child, I do not feel comfortable keeping him in this situation, and I believe it would be unfair to him as well. I genuinely believe that with the right experienced professional and consistent training, this behaviour may be manageable or improved. However, I am not in a position to take that risk or provide the level of training he needs. He is a lovely dog with many good qualities, and I want to make sure he goes to someone who understands his needs and is experienced with German Shepherds and behavioural issues. I am happy to provide videos and any further information to anyone genuinely interested. Please only get in touch if you are able to give him the time, patience, training and responsible home he deserves.
