Yara is still waiting. Still hoping. Still quietly watching other dogs find their families while she patiently waits for hers. Over the past weeks, her foster has seen the real Yara blossom, and every day she becomes more confident, more affectionate and even more special.

Yara is a 1 year old, a lower-medium girl with one of the softest, gentlest personalities imaginable. She isn't loud or demanding. She simply loves quietly, deeply and with her whole heart.

💔 Rescue Story
Yara was found as a tiny newborn puppy together with her mum and siblings, abandoned on the shore of a lake in Ukraine. Tiny helpless puppies left without shelter, safety or any chance of survival. Thankfully they were found in time and brought to safety, where Yara grew into the beautiful young girl she is today.
Sadly, after arriving in the UK, her first placement wasn't the right match. Like many rescue dogs, she simply needed a little more time to settle than she was given. Thanks to her wonderful foster, she has been allowed to blossom at her own pace—and what an incredible girl she has become.

Yara is one of those rare dogs whose quiet nature fills a home with warmth.
She has developed into an incredibly affectionate companion who forms deep, lifelong bonds with her people. She isn't demanding for attention, but she absolutely adores gentle affection, cuddles and simply being close to the people she loves.
She enjoys her walks, loves running and playing with other dogs and has become wonderfully social. One of the loveliest things about Yara is how beautifully she adjusts her play style depending on whether she's playing with a tiny dog, a youngster or a large adult dog.
Although she is much more confident now, Yara can still be a little unsure around unfamiliar people. She doesn't react badly—she simply prefers to observe first and make friends in her own time. Once she knows someone is kind, her loving personality shines through.
She has also become wonderfully responsive off lead, enjoys exploring with her foster and is growing in confidence every single week.

Yara would thrive in a calm, loving home with another friendly, confident resident dog who can continue helping her discover that the world is a safe and happy place.
A secure garden, peaceful walks and patient people who understand sensitive dogs would suit her perfectly.
Most of all, she needs a family willing to let her build trust at her own pace. Once she does, she'll reward them with a bond that is truly something special.
