Hi, I’m Marlie — a beautiful pointer cross with soulful eyes, a soft nature and a whole lot of love to give. I might be a little smaller than your average pointer, but my sweet personality more than makes up for it.
I carried a difficult story for a long time — and I’m so ready to leave it behind.
When the volunteers found me, I was barely holding on. My body was frail, and it was clear I had gone far too long without proper care, nourishment or kindness. I had never really known what it felt like to be safe, warm, or truly loved. They rescued me together with my friend Cash, and even though I was weak, something inside me whispered, “Maybe this is your chance…”
And for the first time in my life, it was.
I’m now in a loving foster home in Scotland, and everything still feels a little magical to me. Soft beds. Kind voices. Gentle hands. Safety. I’m slowly discovering what it means to be cared for, and every day my little personality shines through a bit more.
I’m still learning to trust completely. Sometimes I hesitate or hang back a little — not because I don’t want love, but because it’s all so new to me. My forever family will need to be patient and give me the time and reassurance I need to build my trust and confidence at my own pace.But my foster family says I’m the sweetest girl, and that I deserve a home where I’ll never feel unwanted again.
I don’t need much. Just a calm home where I can relax and feel secure. A quiet environment, gentle walks. Older children would be fine — I like little ones, but I’d be happiest somewhere peaceful and predictable.
I do enjoy the company of other dogs, but calm companions would suit me best. Gentle friends who understand that I’m a quiet soul and happiest in a relaxed home. I'm respectful of other dogs in the family and would like nothing more than a furry friend to show me the ropes.
I’ve been unloved and neglected for most of my life. But I’m still here, hoping someone will look at me and see not my past — but a sweet and beautiful girl who simply wants to belong.
