🐾 Meet Freddie – A Loyal Little Terrier with a Big Heart 🐾 Freddie was rescued in Cyprus when he was around 8 months old. He has lived in the UK for 4 years, and is currently in Wootton He is being rehomed as his original dad died unexpectedly then we have found that he really would prefer to be the only pet in his new home. We simply want the very best for him and hope we can find him a home where he can enjoy a full, active life. Freddie is nearly 5 years old now. A Terrier Cross who may be small in size (around 18 inches tall), but he’s full of personality and love. He’s a playful boy who absolutely loves chasing his toys and enjoys being active. Freddie walks well on the lead, though he can get a little enthusiastic at times and may pull. He has no issues around food and shows no signs of food aggression, making him an easy companion in the home. Freddie has lived with other dogs and enjoyed their company but in his current placement he does not get along with the other male terrier type, who is a similar size. So we think he would especially like to have his human to himself. Freddie can be wary of unfamiliar men, so he’ll need a patient and understanding home that can help him build trust at his own pace. We would prefer an adult only home for Freddie with a human or humans who have the time and patience to help this boy settle and build his trust, He sleeps well through the night and settles nicely once he feels secure. However, after the sad loss of his dad and recent house moves, Freddie is understandably a little unsettled. He will need time, consistency, and reassurance to regain his confidence and feel safe again. Freddie can be protective of his mum, which comes from loyalty, so his new home will need to be mindful of visitors and committed to continuing his training and confidence-building. His recall can also be selective when distractions are around. Freddie would do best in a home with a woman or a couple. An active household that can give him regular exercise, structure, and reassurance would help him truly thrive. 💛 Freddie is a loving, loyal companion who, with the right support and understanding, will make a wonderful addition to the right home. 📩 If you think Freddie is the boy for you, please when contacting us tell us a little about yourself: 1. In situations where space is limited, we will endeavour to rehome the dog directly from its current home. Under no circumstances may the dog be transferred to another UK rescue organisation.
