Description
Emily is a great pony who will turn her hand to anything, she'll do a smart test with good paces, jumps boldly and will travel and stand at competitions, hunting and training.
She has been ridden most recently by a young lad, who has moved onto a bigger horse, but took her to low-level jumping competitions, hunting and pony club. (The PC DC didn't want her to leave the area!) Before that a petite adult jockey who did a little of everything with her. She has also been with me (her trainer) giving lessons to a variety of my students and thriving well under the structured routine.
She is a forward ride and will respond easily to aids so she does respond well to confident little jockeys who want to gain experience with a pony with talent.
She prefers a routine environment and plenty of work or she can be reluctant to come in (will come for food straight away!). Happy to come in daily but can live out 24/7 all year as she's hardy with no signs of lami (touch wood!). Gets along turned out with mares and geldings.
She hasn't had any lameness in the years I've known her and showing no signs of her age in herself or her ridden work.
Good with farrier, vet and for most grooming - I have had to sedate her to clip her out, especially the legs, but if you like feather that's not a problem, I also imagine with some time she would improve but for ease and calm we found that was the best way.
Comes with tack and wardrobe.
Reduced as she isn't getting the attention she deserves!
Currently on Hamps/berks border but can be viewed in Oxfordshire Cotswolds by prior arrangement.
