đŸ Meet Hoku & Toku â Two Brothers, One Perfect Pair
Hoku and Toku are a bonded pair of affectionate, charming brothers who are looking for a forever home together. Theyâre gentle, sweet-natured, and full of personality. Hoku is a typical ginger boy and brings the energy, while Toku, a gorgeous white with tabby spots, brings the chill - and they balance each other beautifully.
Hoku is a playful, cuddly lap cat who has absolutely no concept of personal space! He was found at just two months old, alone in a park, suffering from an anal prolapse. Despite the rough start, he has blossomed into a confident, loving boy who adores attention and he loves to burrow under covers, be carried around, and curl up right next to you. High-energy and curious, he thrives on daily wand play and Cat TV marathons. He can be a bit nervous around loud or unfamiliar noises and isnât a fan of bags or nail trims, so a calm home would suit him best.
Toku, lovingly known as the âsleepy sausage,â is a laid-back boy whoâs always nearby, usually snoozing. Toku was also rescued at just two months old, found in a parking lot with a broken tail that has healed wrong. Heâs very vocal about his love for food and has a sweet way of asking to be picked up - he stretches his arms up your legs to rest his paws on your shoulders. Toku enjoys catnip, soft toys, and gentle playtime. He has a diagnosed immune-mediated neuropathy, which has responded very well to treatment. With daily medication of steroids and regular check-ins, his condition is stable, and he enjoys an excellent quality of life. His specialist vet believes he has a very good long-term outlook with continued care and monitoring.
Like all siblings, Hoku and Toku have their occasional tiffs, but theyâre never apart for long and always make up with a cuddle. Theyâre deeply bonded and must be adopted together. In return, theyâll bring double the love, double the laughs, and twice as much warmth into your home.
ECM is an indoors-only charity which means all our cats are to be adopted into safe and stimulating indoor-only homes where they will thrive and live long, healthy and happy lives. We also consider homes with specific cat-proofed gardens or catios.
