Description
I am a small scale hobby breeder of rare Shetland Fowl Poultry. Shetlands are a medium sized, large fowl chicken originating as a land race from the Shetland Islands. The Hens lay a GREEN egg. I breed mostly solid Black, black/silver and black/gold but most colours and colour patterns are acceptable. Most have a 'tappit' (head crest) although some hatch with a smooth crown. From this years hatch, I have few pullets (hens) available to a keen poultry keeper with interest in rare breeds - all with the preferred tappits. Your set up must be clean, spacious and predator proof and allow for some free ranging when safe to do so. Shetlands are long-lived and hardy. The cockerels are generally easy to handle and good natured. If you have any questions about this lovely breed, please get in touch. I always reply. (Videos are of this years growers and photos show some of their parents). £ 25 per pullet.
