Gorgeous Gus, 7, is in Hereford and searching for a new chapter after a significant change in his family’s circumstances. They are absolutely heartbroken to say goodbye, but they want nothing more than to find him the calm, loving home he truly deserves.
A gentle, steady family dog who grew up with a child, Gus has so much love left to give. He’s a true “velcro dog”, happiest when he’s close to his people; whether that’s sharing sofa cuddles or snoozing peacefully nearby. He would thrive in a calm, patient home that can give him the time and reassurance he needs to settle.
Gus gets on well with polite, calm dogs. He is house-trained once settled and can be left for short periods if crated, as this helps him feel safe and secure. He would suit a home with children aged 10+. He has previously lived with cats (with careful introductions), is neutered and DNA tested, and requires a grain- and chicken-free diet to help manage his skin.
Gus can be strong on the lead and doesn’t have reliable recall, so walks on a long line are recommended while he continues his training.
