Description
Hello 👋🏼
Dear Fletchers fan club…….. Fletcher has come such a long way. The good news is he is a different cat 🐈 from when he first joined us in Spring 2025.
He does still have some neurological behaviours. His nystagmus (involuntary, rhythmic movement of the eyeballs) this has reduced considerably, however is still there.
His circling has also considerably reduced, however it can return when anxious, mainly when he is anxious or someone around him is anxious. It is definitely less frequent, but still with him at times. He can also circle when he is happy/excited - for example after he gets up from being brushed. It has been concluded that we may just have to accept that’s how he is, and we may never know why, he possibly had a stroke or brain injury in his younger years…….
He is a happy chap and his trust in humans given what he went through in his previous years is marvelous.
Fletcher has adjusted brilliantly with his recent foster carer. He loves a belly rub, head butting you 😹 and running around playing. He can be a messy eater with his biscuits- he drops them out of his bowl 😂 He loves being brushed, he will sit/lay for ages enjoying a brush. He has grown in confidence especially around people.
We have learnt he needs a forever home ideally with no stairs, a bungalow or apartment - (if you have stairs they must be carpeted, he may never go upstairs), with someone who is NOT away from the house for more than 4 hours a day, could join a resident (very quiet, gentle cat), who is calm, is confident around cats 🐈. He must remain in the North West area, within less than 2 hours of Cheshire.
To recap;
*He is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.
*Last vet visit February 2026
*Ideally a bungalow or apartment
*Indoor cat only (could have access to a catio)
*Could join a friendly, quiet cat
*Must be home the majority of the time, not to be left for more than 4 hours a day.
*You must be confident around cats and day to day living
*Only well mannered older children who understand cats
*The home HAS to be puurrrfect
*Located in the North West region of the UK - LESS than 2 hours drives of Cheshire.
An adoption fee will be payable.
